Listen, as long as you bring your authentic self to your session, there’s no need to worry! I find people are more relaxed and natural the LESS I try to give them incredibly detailed instructions on how to stand or what to do with their hands. Our conversations before your actual shoot should help us get to know one another so that I know how to help you shine and you can show up confident in your amazing self!

I have LOTS of practice wrangling young ones and less-than-enthused group members. You just focus on bringing all your realness to the session and let me be the one to document it. If your kids want to run around, we’ll let them! If your partner feels awkward about smiling for the camera, they don’t have to! Your photos should be a reflection of who you are and how life is going for you in this moment. Let’s take the need for perfection off the table and embrace the mess that is real life.

I’d love to be a part of picking out the wardrobe for your photo session. Whether that means helping you “shop” your own closet to find the best options you already own or directing you to some of my favorite retailers for a fresh threads, we’ll figure out how to get you looking your best.

Your non-refundable deposit entitles you to reschedule your session one time for personal reasons without paying an additional deposit. After that one instance, a new deposit must be paid to secure your new photo session date and time.

In the event of truly inclement weather (heavy rain, lightning, tornado warning, etc.), we will work together to reschedule your session and no additional deposit will be required.

Depending on the type of package you’re considering, a certain amount of travel is included in your session fee. I’d love to talk to you about arranging travel on a case-by-case basis if you are hoping to plan a session outside the boundary of your package’s travel allowance.

Every image I deliver will be thoroughly edited to enhance lighting, color, and mood. That being said, I don’t do heavy edits to change what makes you you. I work hard to photograph you in a way that brings out your natural beauty, both inside and out. I’ll retouch small, impermanent things like acne, but I’m not in the business of making you look like a cartoon character. You don’t want to look back in ten years at your photos and not recognize the person you see.

As I don’t feel they truly represent the full quality of my work, RAW photo files will not be released under any circumstance.

Yes! Image packages are chosen after your session, so you don’t have to make a decision before you see your portrait proofs. You may buy individual edited files as well if you find there isn’t a large enough package for your needs!

Yes, you can! Head on over to my connect or pricing pages and fill out the form there. Just be sure to let me know you’re inquiring about getting a gift card. Once you choose a session type and payment is received, I’ll send you a lovely .pdf that you can either print or forward to the recipient of your gift!

Yes! Part of the service I provide is a consultation to help you decide which printed products might be the best fit for you. My online gallery delivery system makes it super easy to have your images printed by a professional lab that I’ve personally been using for over ten years. A whole catalog of products such as prints, cards, and framed artwork will be available to you directly from your image gallery. More customized products like albums are also available and will need to be designed and ordered by the photographer.

Unless otherwise advised, digital gallery turnaround time is about two weeks from the time final images are chosen. If we’ve chosen to make you an album, I’ll run a proof by you before placing the final order.
