So, what is it like to work with me?

  • Choosing a photographer is a personal decision, and I get that my philosophy and style might not be for everyone. With that in mind, have a look at my Instagram or Facebook page and my favorites and recent blog posts to get a feel for what my finished images look like. If you like what you see, then let’s connect!

  • So you’ve decided that we go together like peas and carrots. Let the fun begin! Once you reach out via my connect page, I’ll get in touch as soon as possible to schedule a phone call so we can discuss your vision for your session. We’ll talk about location, wardrobe, your group, and how you want to feel during our time together and when you look back at your photos. If you’re still feeling it, we’ll discuss when I can come to your home (in person or via zoom) to check out your space and advise on wardrobe options. We’ll also set a date for your session at that time.

  • Once we’ve established a direction for your session, we’ll keep in touch as all the pieces come together in preparation for photo shoot day. I’m happy to text and email with you as we make sure every detail is accounted for. Send me selfies of everyone in their outfits, ask questions, whatever you need! I want you to feel super prepared for session time!

  • When it’s finally time for your photo session, we’ll meet up at your location and start making some magic!

I aim to keep your photo shoot laid back and fun. If you’re looking for perfectly posed and smiling shots, I may not be the ideal photographer for you. If being photographed is a chore you’re dreading rather than an adventure you’re seeking, there may be a better fit out there. I hear those department store studios can get you in and out in no time flat. ;)

Our conversations before your session should help set us up to create an atmosphere where you feel safe and seen in front of me and my camera. We’re not just taking pictures; we’re making memories. I’m here to capture you as you are, not mold you into some cookie-cutter creature. If your partner never smiles, let’s not force them to. If your kid always has messy hair, let’s let them be messy. The more you authentically show up, the more you get out of it at the end of the process, and the more fun it will be to look back at these images in the years to come.

  • Good things come to those who wait! Ugh, I know. I hate waiting too. But a beautiful gallery really DOES take a little time (usually 2 weeks) to prepare.

Once your gallery is fully edited, we’ll get together again to have a look at your gorgeous images so you can take them all in at once. Then, I’ll help walk you through the process of narrowing down your favorites and choosing a portrait collection.

Once you make your choice, it’s time to pick our your printed materials and high-res images (when applicable)! I’ll be there to walk you through all the beautiful options I offer, so this process should be super fun and easy.
